I use many different tools to make sure we find the right fit to help you contain and start to heal some of hurt ego states while you process one negative thought, or horrible memory at a time with Adaptive Information Processing, Bilateral stimulation using tappers you hold or headphones with BLS tones. (EMDR), or bothe.at the same if they would like. The client will always have a positive thought or a resolution to replace the issue processed
  • Through evidence-based techniques and tools I will help you understand and build the appropriate resources you need to change and control your affect to be grounded and present when needed during EMDR processing. When processing the client takes the knowledge of today, like knowing you are not in danger now, and helps the mind and body understand it is OK to let go of the warning signal, that trigger that is stuck in the past and understand the danger is over. The reactions, flashbacks, negative feeling, and anxiety associated to the issue will go away. It will be replaced with a positive resolution.

I am trained and certified in Integrating EMDR into a clinical practice. I am a specialist in Trauma therapy with EMDR and Certified. Certified in ego-state trauma therapy, I have been certified and practiced Hypnotherapy since 2010. Adaptive information processing has eight stages. The first is conceptualization. With trauma work I need to see how dissociative the client is before I take the history. I start with resources to help the client get through telling the history of the trauma. I will help the client learn about different therapy tools that could help them calm the unwanted emotions and change what they are thinking about, to something present like the flowers in the yard, that you can see, smell and touch. There are many therapies with many different tools to help a person calm their emotions in the moment. I am a licensed professional who has years of experience helping individuals, overcome a wide range of physical, emotional and physical abuse all using AIP. I work with people on attachment issues to help rebuild the unconditional love and neglect some people did not get as a baby or toddler. Some attachment issues start with a divorce or loss of parent when young. Lack of connection with a parent can start when a person is a baby, and the mother had PTSD or to many children to build a good connection. A parent that had anxiety or depression transfers those feelings too the baby because they mirror the feeling felt from closes caregiver. Adaptive information processing can help the client adapt a new feeling of connection.   Any trauma felt when a child is under 4 or 5 is remembered as a feeling not a visual memory. Some clients did not have issues until they were older than 5. In the military or living with marital abuse. I will process those issues by memories. We all have an internal family system. Their are parts of us  that learn to ride a bike or dance. We bring that childlike energy to every dance and our mind feels like our younger part. When a child feels not wanted, not good enough or told to stuff  your feelings , the hurt feeling get suck in our system as an exile, we may even feel like a hurt child. Another part of us may be looking to feel happy . This is the firefighter. That part of us gets out and has fun. The dysfunctional firefighter may do drugs or , porn addiction to fill good. A processed or functional firefighter will want to go dancing or hiking for fun. The manager part of us go to work and keep us on task. A person may have a dysfunctional manager that expects everything perfect, that works too much or expects to much from their employees. Parts of us holding Physical, emotional, or sexual trauma also gets stuck in our warning system as different parts. Any reminder can bring up emotions from the past, the emotion can be so strong it takes over anything happening in the present. These emotions stay with us until we go  back and through the memory and some of the feelings, so our system realizes it is over and processed.  I can help you contain and start to heal your feelings until we process them one at a time with EMDR. IFS helps a person look in and see what the hurt parts of them need,  then build the resources to help.

Internal Family systems talks about the stuck hurt parts that stay in the warning system creating havoc until processed. The managers can run the show with perfectionism or with calm and logic. The firefighters can help us get out and have clean fun of drive us to find a happy fix like drinking or sex. There is also exiles that are hurt parts from physical mental or sexual abuse or attachment issues. These part just need to have a healing room with loving resources while they wait to be processed with EMDR. I am here to guide you through the process and

A-FTTA is a therapy that takes the client on a journey to find a resource teem to help the client with preverbal and attachment issues. The resource teem helps the client build self-confidence and unconditional love missed as an infant. The resource teem is available to help with unknown negative feelings in the body during the day. A client will learn to calm than refocus on something present.

A client can use the tool at home to calm and change there affect in the moment ant put aside the roller coaster of emotions. Hypnotherapy is used to help the client connect with there happy place. They can be more immersed in the experience and be able to go to this special place when they need piece and unconditional love. Hypnotherapy is also used to help the client create a special container to hold some of the  emotions when they feel overwhelmed. I also use hypnotherapy alongside ego state when a client has attachment issues and need to have a new better story with attachment feelings from adult self.  I may use hypnotherapy to help with self -esteem and weight loss issues.

Somatic therapy focusses on feeling in your system. Trauma or stress can create physical issues in the moment or even health issues. I use somatic tools to teach a client to scan their body. A client will scan their body for feelings associated to issues that are being processing when doing EMDR. Any feeling in the body are processed by holding the tappers until the feelings leave from the past body. Somatic work is used during preverbal work, as there are no memories only negative feelings like tightness or stomach issues when a person is pre 4.
